permission for something to happen or agreement to do something.
“I was just playing around” or “I had too much to drink”, is NOT acceptable.
Lately you may have noticed a lot of posts/comments regarding Lack of Consent. This is becoming a BIG issue in many of the groups. We seem to be receiving complaints on a WEEKLY basis. Today’s lifestyle is NOT the old swinger mentality of the 1960’s keys-in-the-hat parties. We ALL have the right to say “No thank you” or “I told you NO”.
Touching a shoulder or arm while talking may be fine. Resting your hand on a thigh may be fine. But come on people, read the person’s body language. If they back up or pull away, they are NOT comfortable with that. DON’T DO IT AGAIN!
*If this person does NOT read your body language, SPEAK UP! Give them a CLEAR message.
Whether you are a seasoned lifestyler or a newbie, we all need to be reminded of the rules.
This goes for men AND women
DO NOT TOUCH WITHOUT ASKING!
And NO MEANS NO!
LIFESTYLE COMMON-COURTESY RULES:
Swatting or slapping an ass (or leg) as they walk by is a NO.
Grabbing/groping breasts or ass without asking is a NO.
Grabbing/groping a man’s privates or ass without asking is a NO.
Biting without permission is a NO.
If you are in a group play area, ask before touching others. If told no thank you,
DO NOT TRY AGAIN.
*JUST ASK FIRST *It is very sexy, for women and men, to hear someone ask “hello, can I touch your ….”
I am not in the BDSM world, so I can’t say what those rules are. If you and your partner(s) have an agreement that rough play/extreme control is allowed, that is wonderful for YOU. Just remember, what works in BDSM world, does NOT always work in the other areas of the Lifestyle. JUST ASK FIRST
Tip: BEFORE meeting someone for play time, it is highly recommended, you discuss YOUR rules (likes and dislikes). This helps to eliminate any misunderstandings.
